My Vision

"I could speak about alignment to business needs, blueprint, efficiency and operational excellence, etc. ... but all these points are nothing more than direct or indirect result of simple principles on which I base my view of an efficient information system serving the company."

Make the information system as transparent and available as possible to users and partners Keep it simple, proceed by iteration and do not jump on anything that moves Listen and work with other Departments but satisfy the need and not demand Build on the long-term with real open standards and therefore interoperable. Being locked into proprietary technology today is shooting itself in the foot for the future. Deploy wherever possible web applications available from anywhere and with any device Respect cultural differences of approach and ensure team agreement upfront any change Maximum use of standard software functionalities - ERP at the top - without developing specific programs Be interested in open source software : developed by passionate, enthusiastic and reactive people, those softwares deliver today often better adapted business solutions than certain proprietary technology. Open source software must be part of selection process today. Failure to do so would mean you do not give any chance to an often innovative, pragmatic and inexpensive approach. Keep an open eye on new technologies ... Knowing also that not everything can be solved by technical solutions, far from it. A good organization remains very first step.
